I urge, then, first of all,that petitions, prayers,

intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people

• for kings and all those in authority,

  that we may live peaceful and quiet lives

  in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:2

Our Father,

We pray for Boris Johnson, the cabinet, scientists, business advisors

and all who contribute to decision making about easing the lock-down.

Thank you that you have brought each one to a place of influence

for such a time as this.

Please guide them by your Holy Spirit, whether they know you or not,

and give them wisdom which comes from you alone,

which is above and beyond human understanding.

Please give your peace to all who carry great responsibility,

and bless them with the energy and relaxation they need

for the long haul through this crisis

and into the future.
