Safeguarding Training
At Soul Survivor Watford we are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk, to worship and grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus safely. As part of our Safer Recruitment Process, our Kids and Youth teams and our Connect Group leaders are in the process of completing safeguarding training as part of their roles. We will be rolling out this training to all our voluntary roles in the coming weeks, and this will also form part of the recruitment process for anyone joining a team in future.
This training is open to anyone who would like to complete it, and not just those who are already part of a team or who are a Connect Group leader. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what safeguarding means and how we, as a church, can look after those in our church family and anyone else who comes through our doors.
If you choose to complete any of the training, it’s really helpful for us to have a copy of your certificate(s) for our records. This is especially helpful if you decide to join a team in the future!
You can send them to us via email - safeguarding@soulsurvivorwatford.co.uk
Due to the nature of the content and themes discussed in the safeguarding training courses, you may wish to take breaks during a course (via the coffee cup icon) or it may be helpful to ask a trusted friend or family member to support you through the completion of the course(s).
We will also be holding in-person drop-in sessions for those who would like to complete the course(s) with the support of the Soul Survivor Watford Team. If you are interested in completing courses via an in-person session please contact us at info@soulsurvivorwatford.co.uk
Please be aware that the training consists of two courses, each taking between 1-2 hours to complete, and can be completed at different times.
