will praise you forever;

we will proclaim your praise.”

Psalm 79:13

Father,

We thank you that we are now at the point of restrictions beginning to lift, with six people from two households now able to meet outside.

Our prayer is that as people are able to meet outside they would be reunited with friends and family and able to begin to rebuild relationships that have been so hard to maintain during this time.

Lord Jesus,

Thank you for the speed at which vaccines have been developed and rolled out around the world. We pray that each vaccine would be effective and safe. We bring to you the AstraZeneca vaccine and ask that this would continue to be safe and any issues that have been found with it would not become wide ranging. Keep those who have been given this vaccine safe.

Lord Jesus,

Today we want to thank you for the gift of mothers. For the way in which they care and devote themselves to raising children.

We also pray today for those for whom this is a difficult day. For those who may long to be a mother but aren’t able to, for those who have a strained relationship with their mother or may have lost their mothers. We pray that your peace will be with them and that you would support them today.

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

2 Timothy 1:9

Lord Jesus,

We thank you that you have saved us and called us into a holy life. Lord, we thank you that this calling is not based on anything we could have done or achieved but we are saved because you love us enough to do it for us.

We thank you that this was your plan all along - that before the beginning of time, you planned to be in relationship with us. Help us not take that love for granted.

Amen
