“As we have heard,
so we have seen
in the city of the Lord Almighty,
in the city of our God:
God makes her secure forever.”

Lord,

We thank you that during this time you are keeping us secure forever. When it feels like everything around is unsteady and unsure, we thank you that we can be sure of you. We praise you for your steadfast love that never fails. We thank you for the swift development of vaccines that give us hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Today we pray for all those involved in the development of the vaccine. As they continue to work would they know that they have completed the job well. We pray for everyone who is involved in distributing the vaccine, for the government officials deciding who should get it when. For the thousands of doctors and nurses who will administer the vaccine and all the volunteers who will fulfil many roles to help life get back to normal.
