Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. 1 Peter 1:3-4

Lord Jesus,

On this glorious Resurrection Day when we’re not able to celebrate with our church family,please keep our hearts full to overflowing with thanks for all you’ve done.

You killed death forever and put us on the guest list for heaven.

The thick, heavy curtain in the temple was torn - top to bottom - so there is no barrier between us: nothing can separate us from your love.

You rose with a body still bearing the wounds of the nails - so we have the freedom to follow you bearing our own scars.

You broke out of the cold darkness of the tomb - so we can walk in the light and warmth of your presence all the days of our life.

As we travel through this dark valley, you are our hope, our joy, our Resurrection!
