Common Worship Collect for Easter

Lord of all life and power,

who through the mighty resurrection of your Son

overcame the old order of sin and death

to make all things new in him:

grant that we, being dead to sin

and alive to you in Jesus Christ,

may reign with him in glory;

to whom be praise and honour, glory and might,

now and in all eternity.

Amen.

We pray today for:

the Prime minister as he convalesces at Chequers, thanking God for his healing,

families living in small homes without a garden - peace for the children and great patience and creativity for the parents,

new believers - that they will seek out the teaching, support and encouragement they need to live life in the light of the resurrection.
